gods of Vedic mythology and sounds of human speech

The first page gives the information on phonetics of the modern Russian alphabet and parities of 33 letters with 33 gods of Vedic mythology, and also describes categories of gods in comparison with vowels and consonants of human speech.

Language of Vedas and phonetic structure of Russian alphabet.
Gods of Vedic mythology and sounds of human speech.

The Vedic mythology is set of myths which are fixed in Vedas and are a source of Hindu mythology and also Hinduism and other religions of ancient and modern India. Vedas are sacred texts which are considered as transcendental revelations, namely are indisputable certificates and authoritative knowledge of the existing phenomena of world around, and also knowledge of essence of gods and people, as affirms that Vedas comprise all universe and all alive essences are their part. Namely Vedas are assemblies of hymns which are devoted to gods and open essence according to which gods are shown in the world and cooperate with people.
Texts of Vedas are written down by a Sanskrit which is ritual language of Hinduism, namely Sanskrit is not a spoken language but is used by Brahmans of the Hindu religion for prays and rituals.
It is supposed that Sanskrit is one of the most ancient languages of mankind, and affirms that human speech is source of Vedas. Hence, texts of Vedas can be considered as a source of knowledge about language by means of which the man names the phenomena of world around and by means of names realizes the world. In particular names of gods in Vedas can be considered in comparison with acoustic (sound) parameters of human speech, namely the hierarchy of gods in Vedic mythology can be correlated to letters of the alphabet.
In texts of Vedas it is possible to find names of 33 basic gods which form 3 categories: heavenly gods Adityas (12 deities), atmospheric or air gods Rudras (11 deities), terrestrial gods Vasus (8 deities), and also gods Ashvins (2 deities) which do not belong to three categories. In essence the hierarchy of 33 gods in Vedic mythology is similar to a phonetic structure of modern Russian alphabet, that is shown on the chart:

gods of Vedic mythology and letters of the Russian alphabet On the chart categories of gods of Vedic mythology are compared to the conditional contour of a human face and physiognomic spheres:
- heavenly gods Adityas correspond with physiognomic sphere of consciousness;
- atmospheric gods Rudras and Ashvins correspond with physiognomic sphere of individuality;
- terrestrial gods Vasus correspond with physiognomic sphere of feelings.
The information on physiognomic spheres of a human face look on pages of other site: www.emotions.64g.ru/prof2/pro7en.htm.

Modern Russian language differs from the Vedic Sanskrit by means of which Vedas are written, but Russian language has a unique phonetic structure which expresses universal system of sounds of human speech if to consider that the hierarchy of gods in Vedic mythology is display of universal acoustic system and the number of gods in hierarchy is equal to number of letters in the Russian alphabet.
Sounds of speech differ with a way of formation for an air jet during a pronunciation (articulation).
Open consonant sounds are formed when organs of articulation create a narrow passage through which there passes an air jet (the mouth passage is narrow and open). The Russian language has 8 such sounds: that corresponds to number of terrestrial gods Vasus in Vedic mythology.
Stop consonant sounds are formed when organs of articulation are closed and then disclosed during movement of an air jet (the mouth passage completely closed and then disclosed): .
Nasal consonant sounds are formed when organs of articulation are closed but an air jet passes through a nose (the nose passage open), namely sounds: .
Side consonant sounds are formed when organs of articulation are closed in middle and an air jet passes on sides of an oral aperture (air passes along the sides of tongue), namely sound .
Trill consonant sounds are formed when organs of articulation are closed and vibrates during movement of an air jet (the tongue vibrates), namely sound .
Compound consonant sounds (affricates) are formed when organs of articulation are closed and then disclosed not completely during movement of an air jet, that is somewhat similar to the open consonant sounds but nevertheless affricates concern to the category of closed sounds, namely sounds .
In total the Russian language has 12 stop consonants, nasal consonants, side consonants, trill consonants, compound consonants, that is equal to number of heavenly gods Adityas in Vedic mythology.
Vowel sounds are formed when the air jet has free movement through organs of articulation. Russian language has 11 vowel sounds: if to carry to vowel sounds, that is equal to number of atmospheric gods Rudras in Vedic mythology.
Besides the Russian language has unpronounceable sounds which are designated by letters hard mark and soft mark that is equal to number of gods Ashvins in Vedic mythology.
Total a phonetic structure of the modern Russian language and alphabet is identically hierarchies of gods in Vedic mythology.
Heavenly gods Adityas correspond to letters of stop consonants , nasal consonants , side consonant , trill consonant , compound consonants (affricates) .
Names of gods in the category Adityas are following: MITRA, VARUNA, ARYAMAN, ANSA, BHAGA, DHATR, VISHNU, VIVASVAT (MARTANDA), SURYA, SAVITR, PUSHAN, USHAS.
Gods Adityas are children of ADITI which is their mother whose name means "boundlessness" that corresponds to the category of heavenly gods and boundlessness of heavenly space, and also Adityas are descendants of DAKSHA who is father of ADITI and the grandfather of gods Adityas. Some Adityas have other parents but nevertheless ADITI and DAKSHA are basic primogenitors.
DAKSHA is descendant of PRAJAPATI who is the primary god of the world.
The information on the related and interconnected attitudes of gods is necessary for understanding of ratio which are peculiar to sounds of human speech as interrelations of gods in complex system of Vedic mythology allow to see ratio of sounds which are shown during formation of words, namely are shown in phonetic ratio which depend on positions of sounds in words.
Texts of Vedas name 8 children of ADITI, namely: MITRA, VARUNA, ARYAMAN, ANSA, BHAGA, DHATR, VISHNU, VIVASVAT (MARTANDA). Other four gods concern to the category of Adityas but have other parents that is coordinated to phonetics of sounds in Russian language as 6 stop consonants form pairs of voiced and voiceless sounds , and also nasal consonant sounds form a pair of conformable sounds, and sounds have other phonetic parities.
VARUNA is the main god in the category of Adityas and he forms the interconnected pair with MITRA. His name means "true speech".
MITRA forms a pair with VARUNA and is the second main god in the category of Adityas. His name means "contract" or "consent" that specifies the coordinated division of authority between MITRA and VARUNA.
ARYAMAN has a name which means "friendliness" or "hospitality". This deity together with BHAGA accompanies with a groom and a bride in wedding ceremonies.
BHAGA has a name which means "donator" or "happiness". He forms a pair with ARYAMAN and is personification of the wedding unions of men and women.
The name of this god is a phonetic pattern of word BHAGAVAD which means "sacred" or "divine", and also is a phonetic pattern of the Slavic word GOD. Therefore it is possible to assume that gods of Vedic mythology BHAGA and ARYAMAN correspond with pair sounds .
DHATR has a name which means "founder". He has qualities similar to qualities of PRAJAPATI, namely is similar to the founder of the world. His name is applied as an epithet of god VISHNU in Hinduism.
VISHNU has a name which means "universal". In Hinduism VISHNU is the central god of the Hindu pantheon of gods and he is identified with PRAJAPATI, but VISHNU is not the Supreme god in hierarchy of gods in Vedic mythology.
VISHNU and DHATR have an identification with the primary god of world PRAJAPATI and consequently it is possible to assume that this pair gods corresponds with pair sounds as in the Slavic word GOD is two consonants which in Vedic mythology are comparable to gods BHAGA and VISHNU whose names mean "donator" and "universal".
Total the pair of gods BHAGA and ARYAMAN is comparable to pair sounds , the pair of gods VISHNU and DHATR is comparable to pair sounds , the pair of gods MITRA and VARUNA can be compared to pair sounds .
Probably, voiced sounds in pairs belong to significant gods and voiceless sounds belong to less significant gods. Namely MITRA has the voiced sound and VARUNA has the voiceless sound as MITRA corresponds with active elements of fire and VARUNA corresponds with passive elements of water; VISHNU has the voiced sound and DHATR has the voiceless sound as VISHNU is more significant god in Vedic mythology; BHAGA has the voiced sound and ARYAMAN has the voiceless sound as BHAGA is more significant god.
SAVITR has a name which means "inducing". He forms a pair with SURYA.
SURYA has a name which means "sun".
It is necessary to tell that all gods in the category Adityas in a context of Vedic mythology are solar deities or lunar deities and consequently have qualities of the sun or the moon, but they are not heavenly bodies as such and in essence all together personify the sky and light.
SURYA forms a pair with SAVITR and is all-seeing eye of MITRA and VARUNA.
His father is DYAUS who is direct personification of the sky.
PUSHAN carries out a role of his envoy.
INDRA wins SURYA that in texts of Vedas compare to a thundercloud which eclipses the sun.
It is possible to assume that pair of gods SAVITR and SURYA correspond with pair of nasal consonant sounds .
PUSHAN has a name which means "blossoming".
This god is ambassador of SURYA and he knows ways of all alive essences that is similar to Hermes in ancient Greek mythology.
PUSHAN has no teeth as a teeth are broken by RUDRA who is the god in the category Rudras.
It is possible to assume that god PUSHAN corresponds with trill consonant sound .
It is necessary to tell that RUDRA corresponds with the vowel sound that confirms conflict of RUDRA and PUSHAN as letter R is said as a sound A in the English alphabet.
ANSA has a name which means "part" or "share" that allows to make comparison to side consonant sound , namely it is possible to tell that the name of this god reflects partial use of sound (L) in speech. For example, in Latin language there is no firm sounding of sound L.
Besides sometimes sound (L) has the deformed sounding as a result of a wrong articulation of speech organs and is said as sound (G), namely it is possible to tell that sound L is a share of the sound G.
Pay attention that sounds L and R have the deformed pronunciation as a result of a wrong articulation more often other sounds and consequently these sounds can be correlated with gods ANSA and PUSHAN as within astrological circle the interconnected gods and the appropriate sounds of speech have a symmetric arrangement which is caused by a symmetric arrangement of planets dominant in zodiac signs, that is possible to see in the chart on the following page.
USHAS has a name which means "morning light" and is the young girl in sparkling clothes, that similarly to the Aphrodite in ancient Greek mythology and Venus in the Roman mythology.
She is beloved of SURYA and sympathizes INDRA but mutual relation with INDRA are inconsistent.
It is possible to assume that goddess USHAS corresponds with affricate .
VIVASVAT (MARTANDA) is the rejected child who was born defective without hands and legs and consequently was rejected by mother, or someone from brothers took away from him hands and legs that corresponds with phonetics of sound which has sounding similar to a sound , namely inferiority of the god is comparable to inferiority of sound . And also in the English language letter C in some cases designates a sound (in civilization) or designates a sound (in cat).
But it is necessary to take into account that name MARTANDA means "dead born" but name VIVASVAT means "shining" and consequently VIVASVAT is the significant god of Vedic mythology.
More detailed information on interrelations and mutual relation of gods in Vedic mythology look in texts of Vedas, and also the information on interrelations of gods can be found in books about Vedic mythology. The analysis of interrelations allows to understand ratio of sounds with gods, and allows to see phonetic ratio of sounds which are connected to positions of sounds in words.
